Did you know that ferns are some of the most "primitive" plants on the planet? Some species have been around for over 500 million years. (I think ... would need to double check my facts but I'm tired and not willing to do it right now.) Anyways, I've always been fascinated by ferns. Great shot of them starting a new life.
