@Kheoh Yee Wei: Primarily the use of NIK Color Efex Pro 2.0 filters. First, I burned in parts of the image then applied the midnight sepia filter followed by the darken/lighten filter. Slight sharpening ... and .. voila. :-) It takes some practice with using the NIK filters, but if you stick with it and use them judiciously they can do wonders.
