What a lovely piece of photography. How can you leave that "Untitled"?

Absolutly wonderful.. the colours, the details of the feathers, the red eye!
Are you sure it is a pigeon?
Or more like an "exotic blue bird"...

@Manuela: Thanks. I also thought it was a blubird, but an "expert" told me I was mistaken and that it is actually a type of pigeon. I'm still not 100% certain one way or the other. :-)

Incredible bird ... amazing photo ... the red eye on the blue does it for me!
And guess what, it know it is beautiful :) Lovely

Very beautiful craig, i cant believe it belongs to a pigeon family. It has the got peacock's grace and you executed the shot very well.

Beautiful bird, of course, but perfectly focussed, composed and exposed.

I have seen some nice looking pigeons but this one is by far the most exotic. Good capture

Absolutely stunning. Could easily be in National Geographic.

your pigeon vs. my seagull. so far 1-0. :(
but very nice and sharp. did you use unsharp mask?
13 Oct 2006 11:06pm
@Kelvin Chan: Yes, I used unsharp mask, but I can't remember the setting for this image. I find that about 99.99% of digital images need some level of sharpening. If I remember correctly I also increased the contrast.
Exotic alright. I bet the bird is a guy and they use it to attract the females hehe. Very good sharpness.
