@Nick Chase: I use NIK Color Efex Pro 2.0 and the "cross processing" filter. I then burn-in the image in PS followed by the "darken" filter in NIK.

Part of the fun of photography - at least for me - is in creating images that are a bit mysterious as to their origin or nature. However, in this case, I'll break my rule and explain. It is a wooden board sticking in the ground at a construction site in the Montreal airport. I shot it through the window (which had a mesh sunscreen over it) with a rising morning sun and clouds. I blurred the background, applied a cross-processing filter, burned-in the image slightly, applied a darken filter and added a minimal canvas texture.
